Short description
Venera Giurcan is a University of Bucharest graduate with a PhD in Chemistry whose research activity is dedicated to combustion, flames and explosions of gaseous homogeneous systems. During her research career, she was a director or a team member of several national projects. The recent project (Science for Future Researchers: Experiments and Knowledge) aims to create a bridge between researchers and pupils by dedicated experimental activities with the aim of fostering their curiosity and stimulating their interest in pursuing careers in research. As a sign of appreciation of her research activity, Dr. Giurcan received the Nicolae Teclu Romanian Academy Award in 2014.
