Prof. univ. dr. Mircea Dumitru is a PhD in philosophy at the Tulane University (New Orleans, Louisiana) since 1998, with a thesis about modality and incompletion. He has also a PhD in philosophy at the University of Bucharest, with a thesis about “neo-fregeanism” and “neo-russellianism” in the context of attribute atitudes in sentences and direct address. He is specialized in philosophical logic, philosophy of language and analytic metaphysics of modality. Prof. univ. dr. Mircea Dumitru has published over 50 articles in scientific journals and books` chapters regarding: modal logic, theories of truth, signification, rationalization, Wittgenstein`philosophy, contemporary logic (Quine, Kripke, Kit Fine), realism, essentialism, relativism. His competencies in research and teaching are in connection with fields like: philosophical logic, symbolic logic, philosophy of language, analytic metaphysics of modality, epistemological, philosophy of the mind and conscience.
