Short description

Professor Raluca Sassu, PhD, is a faculty member at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu. Her professional career is dedicated to understanding how we develop emotionally and cognitively, beginning from the earliest years of life. She completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Bern, where she worked as a researcher, an experience that contributed to strengthening her academic and scientific career. Her current research focuses on the transition from kindergarten to school and on child development during this stage, encompassing cognitive, social-emotional, and motor dimensions. She is also interested in how media literacy contributes to children’s healthy development, as well as in the role of experiences and the environments in which children grow up. Through her academic work, she brings a rigorous scientific perspective that remains deeply connected to the lived experience of human development and mental health, from childhood through adulthood.
