Adina Dragomirescu is Associate Professor of Linguistics at the Faculty of Letters, University of Bucharest and a Researcher at the “Iorgu Iordan – Alexandru Rosetti” Institute of Linguistics of the Romanian Academy. Her research interests are: Romanian and Romance syntax, diachronic syntax, language contact, linguistic typology, morphology, and phonology. Adina Dragomirescu has published two books as a single author (one devoted to ergativity and the other one to the Romanian supine) and is the co-author of several reference grammars of Romanian (“Gramatica de bază a limbii române”, 2010, “The Grammar of Romanian”, 2013) and other reference works (“The Syntax of Old Romanian”, 2016, “The Oxford Guide to the Romance languages”, 2017). She has also published more than 70 papers on the syntax and morphology of Romanian, and she has edited many collective volumes.
